What are ACLs? Types of ACLs? Why do we use ACLs? What are the differences between Standard and Extended ACLs?

In this article, I will discuss all about the ACLs (Access Control Lists) that What are ACLs, How many types of there are? Why does use ACLs? and more. So friends basically ACLs stand for Access Control Lists. ACLs are the Layer 3 security of the OSI model. So It can be used on layer3 devices like routers and firewalls. And ACL is also called Packet Filtering Firewall. ACLs add an extra layer of security to our network. Now its time learn something more about ACLs –

How To Configure VLANs – CCNA Practical LAB

In this article, I will explain to you How to configure the Vlans on a network. Friends this is a very important topic of the CCNA course. So for those students who are looking for CCNA certification and also who want to grow their career in the networking field, Vlan is very important. Now here the question comes that why do we need VLANs. And in beginners mind, there must be a question that what is VLAN. So let’s discuss all these topic –

ACL To Deny Telnet/SSH From A Network On Cisco Router – CCNA Lab

In this article, I will explain how we can stop access telnet by any host in a network. So stop telnet from accessing by a host of the network, I will use ACL. Why we would do that? I think you must think we want to block telnet for particular hosts or for a network. So friends block or deny hosts to access TELNET for security purposes. Yes, friends, we do this because we don’t want to give access to any unauthorized person to enter our system. So for safety reasons we filter the network traffic and allow some particular hosts to access telnet.

What is OSPF Protocol? How does it work? OSPF Routing Protocol with Examples.

In this article I will explain all about OSPF that What is OSPF? and How to configure OSPF with Cisco routers? Also the working of routers with OSPF. So, OSPF stands for Open Shortest Path First. The OSPF protocol is an intra-domain routing protocol based on link state routing. Its domain is also an autonomous system. It has a value in the IP Header (8 bit protocol field). Special routers (autonomous system boundary routers) or backbone routers responsible to dissipate information about other AS into the current system. So, OSPF is a protocol that interconnects two different routers.  Let’s discuss some other features of OSPF –

What is RIP routing? Learn RIP Routing Configuration on router with example in a few steps.

In this article, I’ll explain ‘What is the RIP Routing?’ How to use Rip Routing? and How to configure RIP Routing on Cisco Router. I’ll discuss this topic with the help of the RIP routing lab setup that I configured in the Cisco Packet Tracer. So, before learning the configuration, we must have some basic information about RIP routing. Now, Let’s learn some basics of RIP Routing. Continue reading “What is RIP routing? How to configure different types of security on Router? How to set passwords on Router?

In this article, we will learn the different ways of setting a password on the Cisco router with the help of cisco packet tracer lab. But first, the question arises that Why we need to put different types of security for different users? From the point of view of the running status of the network is very important. Somehow it stops or fails then it can cause a big data loss for the company. It becomes very important to keep all data safe. Someone can willingly harm the router or can theft the data of the company and can also do a cyber attack on the company database. Sometimes it may be due to technical error or human error. So to prevent data loss from willing actions company set password protection on the router so that no one can harm or theft any data of the company without the knowledge of passwords. How to Configure EIGRP Routing on Cisco Router? Simple Explanation of Eigrp Protocol?

In this article, I’ll explain the simple configuration of EIGRP protocol on Cisco routers. But before to this, we must have an idea about EIGRP protocol that What is EIGRP Protocol? How to use it? Where can we use this protocol? Friends if you want to earn all the information about EIGRP then please read the complete article. EIGRP stands for Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol. It is an advanced distanced – vector protocol that is used for automatic configuration and decision making for a network. It is a sole Proprietary protocol available on Cisco Router especially designed by Cisco Systems for the purpose of Proprietary on Routing protocol of Cisco routers. How to Configure Static Routing on Cisco Router?

In this article, we will learn “How to configure Static on Cisco Router”.  Here we can learn static routing protocol on router. So, first of all, we should know What is Static Routing or Protocol? Dear one if you know the answer please mention it in the comment box and if don’t know then continue your reading. So basically it is a manually configured routing protocol to send traffic at particular destinations on a router rather than a dynamic routing protocol. So through a static protocol, a dynamic path can’t be provided automatically to connect 2 routers. So in the static protocol, we manually configure the network address to the router.  Let’s Learn how to configure Static Routing Protocol on Cisco Router?

How to Configure Syslog Server in Cisco Router?

In this article, I will explain how can we configure the Syslog server in cisco router. But first, we must have a question in your mind that “Why do we need Syslog Server ?” If you already know the answer please mention in the comment section and If you don’t know then continue reading this article. Syslog is a standard for events or messages logs which means Syslog monitors all events of network and send them to an external device which we a Syslog Server. In normal words, it tracks all logs or events of the system. So basically Syslog Server keeps its eyes on every event such ping, packets sending to switch, router or any other system.

How to Configure Router as DHCP in Cisco Packet Tracer. Learn use of IP dhcp Command.

In this article, I will explain about How we can configure the router as DHCP Server. As you all know DHCP Server provides Ip addresses to all devices of the system in Network. So here will learn how a router can work as a DHCP server. So to perform this task we have assigned IP address to all devices. After this we have to create a DHCP POOL .A DHCP Pool is a virtual controller used to assigned IP to connected networks. It acts as a built-in Server. So to assign create a POOL for the network which we want to provide an IP address.

How to Backup and Restore Cisco Router Data with Ftp Server?

In this article, I’ll explain about how we can backup router setting with the help of FTP Server. Guys, it is very simple to learn backup files of the cisco router. We have 2 ways to backup of Router’s setting i.e. Through FTP Server and through TFTP Server. In FTP server we require user id of any user of FTP server. But in TFTP we don’t need any user. Directly we can take the backup of Router Configuration settings. Routers must be able to access the FTP or TFTP server. Use the ping command to verify connectivity between router and TFTP/FTP server. You must have at least one of these servers whether TFTP or FTP. Learn How To Configure Telnet Server in Cisco Router?

In this tutorial, you will learn about configuring the Telnet server in the Cisco router. We configure Telnet services on a router to access it from anywhere remotely. If you are at a remote location and you want to configure, manage, and monitor your router from a remote location. Then you can control your router remotely through telnet without your physical presence actually where your router is. So, basically, Telnet is a remote login program that helps us to manage any device remotely. We will learn configuring telnet through the given diagram watch it very carefully and read it step by step.
